החלטת ממשלת סוריה להעלות את מחיר מוצרי הנפט עוררה זעם ציבורי, שבא לידי ביטוי נרחב ברשתות החברתיות.

לפי דוח ועדת תמחור מוצרי הדלק בסוריה, כל ליטר סולר עלה ב-40%, מ-125 ל-175 לירות סוריות. מחיר הגז המקומי עלה ביותר משמונה אחוזים.
