The Tehran police said that they identified and arrested the person who threw three Molotov cocktails at the people present in Funak Square yesterday (Monday).

According to the information center of the Greater Tehran Police, "around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, a man threw three Molotov cocktails at the citizens present in Funk Square from the top of a building in the Mirzababai Boulevard area of Tehran and immediately fled the scene."

In the police statement, it is not clear whether "citizens present in Funk square" refers to a night gathering of government supporters in the city squares or not.

The police say that the accused "intended to escape from the western borders of the country", but police officers identified him in a "surprise operation" and worked to arrest him.

According to the police, this man "resisted" and "ignored the police's warnings" until he was finally "caught and arrested" by a shot in his right leg.
