Western satellite communication systems Starlink and OneWeb can be used to undermine the socio-political situation in sovereign countries, said the staff of the Security Council of Russia. At a meeting of the Security Council's scientific and expert council, the risks of using foreign satellite services and the prospects for developing Russia's low-level communications system were discussed. The Security Council stated that it is necessary to speed up the serial production of local satellites and equipment to connect to them. He recommended that the relevant departments prepare proposals for the full deployment of the system and ensure its sustainable operation.
