The Italian Minister of Defense, Guido Crosto, said that he intends to propose the extension of military aid to Kiev for next year. "I will offer the possibility of extending the decree [on providing military aid to Ukraine] for next year," the minister said, answering questions from senators in the upper house of the parliament. Crosto recalled that this decree was adopted by the previous government of Mario Draghi and approved in 2022 by all the parties that are now part of the ruling coalition as well as the opposition. "Then, over time, the roles changed, but if it was true then, how can one explain that now it is wrong (to provide military aid and send weapons)," the minister continued. He noted that Giorgi Maloney's government will maintain the same line it has followed for the past four years. Crosto also confirmed that the meeting of Kopasir's parliamentary security committee is scheduled for November 10, where he will present the 13th aid package already prepared for Ukraine.
