The exact number of people who left Alyushki during the humanitarian mission is unknown, Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantertova said at a press conference dedicated to the results of the mission, Interfax reports. "I'll tell you honestly, we just didn't have the time or the opportunity to count people, we didn't count their heads," Lantertova said. According to her, the organizers provided 750 places for those interested in leaving Alsheki. However, not all of them were occupied: as the Ombudsman pointed out, after the evacuation was completed, many buses returned empty.
