The Russian labor market faces a serious imbalance: despite unemployment at 2.2%, thousands of candidates are applying for vacancies in IT, marketing and a number of other fields, while there is a shortage of manpower in blue-collar professions. This is indicated in the analytical material of Hach on the prospects of the labor market until 2030. Due to uneven demand for specialists, some Russians spend six months looking for work and receive hundreds of rejections. The problem is not so much related to the work of job search services, but to the changing needs of employers and the economic situation. By 2030, the labor shortage may become one of the main constraints to business development. The aging of the population, a decrease in the number of young professionals and rising labor costs will force companies to actively implement artificial intelligence and automation, increase productivity and invest in retraining employees.
