Yandex will continue to develop its own basic AI models after attacks on data centers, the company reported. First of all, compact models, which in some specializations are better than larger models, for general purposes, which require less computing resources. The company will soon launch the updated Alice AI ART, a new model for image production and blending. In September, Yandex introduced two models of a sovereign language: Alice AI Search Pretrain, a working version of which is used for AI responses in search, and Alice AI Foundation LLM, which tests technologies for a future unified thinking model.
