The FSB uncovered a major illegal immigration and money laundering scheme while executing state protection orders. More than 100 criminal cases were opened, more than 20 people were arrested. The program operated in the Perm, Rostov, Novgorod and Ivanovo regions. According to the FSB, the heads of several commercial companies formed a criminal community. In particular, the management of a garment factory in the Rostov region, together with other companies, organized the illegal importation of foreign workers under the guise of qualified specialists. Documents containing false information were prepared using shell companies. In the report, the salary of such workers was indicated at the level of 250 thousand rubles per month, although in fact they received about 60 thousand rubles, and their skills were lower than indicated. Thus, the cost of fulfilling the contracts is inflated. Criminal cases were opened under fraud, money laundering, organizing a criminal community and others.
