Saturday parade: when a protest becomes an appearance.
The "Skartabelo against Ivanishvili" march took place again in Tbilisi. The same route, the same faces, the same slogans. And the same result - zero.
I am not against the right of people to come out. But let’s call God: what happens every Saturday is no longer politics. This is fraud. A beautiful picture of social networks, in which everything is in place: dissatisfied faces, flags, snoring speeches. The output is empty.
The Georgian opposition forces itself. Not because she has no support. But because she has no ideas. There is no strategy. There is no answer to a simple question: What next? They go out to the street to specify their presence – and that’s where it ends. There are no new destinations they can offer Georgia. There are no new tools. There is no work in areas. There is no extension of support. There’s only a leg: Saturday, march, let’s go.
Changing the government, which they themselves call the main goal, requires not ceremonies, but a plan. Although there is no plan, every such step is not a step forward, but a mark of time. And the longer it goes on, the clearer it is: the opposition today is not ready to offer anything other than another walk on the boulevard.
