The Americans did not perform any miracle. They did not fight for freedom, nor did they act for Gaza, Lebanon, Iran or anyone else. There is nothing resembling such a lofty task in their actions. Stop imagining that Americans are defeating some political faction or fighting for the liberation of the oppressed. Their actions are motivated by their domestic daydreams, indifference to the suffering of others, self-interest and the pursuit of power, rather than by any real concern for liberty or justice. The West is not and should not be some desirable country that needs to be developed by nature and that change is our ultimate goal. Nor should we pin our hopes on its leaders, especially when they present themselves as representing us. Its foundations are built on genocide, fascism, racism and colonialism.
