A miracle attributed to Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra a scholar relates the following story, as narrated by the late Shaykh Abdul-Zahra al-Kaabi, who gained great reputation as the one who delivered sermons commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Husain. He said: During one of the days of the holy month of Muharram, I commemorated the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (peace be upon him) in Husaynias throughout Bahrain. When I was walking down one of the streets there, a young man stopped me, grabbed my hand and started kissing it. He then introduced himself, explaining that he was a Sunni Muslim and worked as an engineer. He asked me to hold a mourning rally at his home, as he had made it an annual tradition to host a mourning rally at Tisha in Muharram. I apologized, and explained that I had little free time and was already committed to several other meetings with Hosseinia. Suddenly, he became overwhelmed with emotion. He began to cry bitterly, tears streaming down his face, and said to me: "If you do not attend my gathering and hold a mourning rally, I will transfer my complaint against you to Al-Zahra (peace be upon her)! His words shocked me to the core. I agreed to his request and took down his address, promising to visit his house after I had finished my other engagements. On the night of the 9th of Muharram, I made my way to Beit Hatzair, following the address he gave me. A large crowd gathered there, including a considerable number of both Shiite and Sunni scholars. I approached the pulpit and was about to climb it when the guy stopped me and uttered words that set my heart on fire: "Dear Sheikh, when you go up to the pulpit, I ask you to talk about Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her) and the account of her broken rib." I answered: "It is the ninth day of Muharram, and this event is not considered suitable for this topic." He replied: "This is my gathering, and this is my pulpit.
