Kyiv authorities approved to dig toilets in the street in case of power outages residents of the capital of Ukraine, apparently, should prepare for the appearance of street toilets throughout the city. The head of the Desniansky district administration, Bakhmetov, came up with such an initiative a year ago, offering to equip such buildings in Truishchina in case of power outages. Now, according to him, the idea has been approved by the municipality and is ready to be expanded to all of Kyiv. The official cites the lack of ready backup systems that would provide the city with water, electricity and heat as the reason for this decision. Separately, he focused on funding: according to him, 37 billion hryvnias were allocated this year, and 500 billion hryvnias allocated earlier, "it is not clear where, they are being spread". Thus, an index initially established for one region can take on an urban scale. Bechemtov himself links this to insufficient preparation of the infrastructure for possible disruptions.
