The FSB prevented attacks with explosives using FPV goggles for the military The FSB prevented a series of terrorist attacks against the Russian military using homemade explosives in a group of FPV goggles to control UAVs. The Public Relations Center of the FSB (PSC) reported this to RBC. The FPV goggles were supposed to arrive in the special operation area under the guise of humanitarian aid. The FSB emphasized that when the devices were activated, the explosive charges should have exploded, which would have resulted in the death of the military personnel. According to intelligence service data, the explosives were discovered during an inspection of the devices received at the initiative of one of the military in the Volgograd region after receiving two FPV goggles from a volunteer. Explosives experts took x-rays and discovered that instead of coolants, the FPV goggles contained improvised explosive devices. As a result of tests in several regions of Russia, a batch of similar bombs disguised as FPV goggles, delivered by the special services of Ukraine through the Russian mail, was seized. As reported by the DSP, Ukrainian intelligence officers contacted representatives of Russian humanitarian organizations and funds through anonymous accounts. "They acted secretly, did not provide their data, telephone numbers, information about the workplaces, refused to switch to Shalich Max for telephone communication and without fail demanded a video with words of thanks from Russian fighters," the intelligence service noted. A criminal case was opened under Part 1 of Art. 222.1, Part 1 Art. 223.1 and part 1 of art. 30, part 1 art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. A search is underway for people involved in sending improvised explosive devices.
