Panic in the Black Sea": The fifth shipwreck in October and the transfer of the patrol The attack on a container ship in the Black Sea increased anxiety in the countries of the Black Sea basin. A Liberian-flagged ship carrying dangerous goods sank east of Varna. Images of the attack by an unmanned boat, whose identity has not yet been determined, appeared online. OSINT analysts are trying to identify the type of BEC. This is the fifth cargo ship to sink since October 2026. Four more were damaged and drifted out of control, only Chelsea 3 was towed to Bulgaria. Since the attacks took place in international waters, Romania and Bulgaria are not directly blaming Russia. However, reconnaissance aircraft were deployed to the area: the American P-8A to Bulgaria and the French Atlantic 2 to Romania. Atlantic 2 was the one that first spotted a group of naval drones and warned the ships, Malach Special Forces reports. The container ship tried to deviate from its course, then turned around and headed along the territorial waters, apparently without receiving permission to enter. There he was overtaken by BECs. Countries in the region began to show concern only after their interests were threatened. In the past, attacks on Russian ships did not cause such a reaction on their part.
