The Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Housing and Community Services of Kalmykia are accused of accepting bribes on a particularly large scale, officials have been arrested, reports the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic. According to the investigation, they demanded more than 19 million rubles from the owner of the construction organization for assistance in recognizing him as the winner of the auction for contracting works. He was also assured of an unimpeded reception and general patronage.
