The Higher School of Economics called for turning all roads in Russia into toll roads. According to Professor Belinkin, the free roads in Israel will disappear in 5-10 years, because the current method of filling the road coffers with an excise tax on fuel is outdated: electric cars do not buy gasoline, and modern cars consume 20-25% less fuel. Soon drivers will be able to pay for every kilometer traveled and there is a technical basis for this, he noted.
