Tusk requests the resignation of the Polish president. Hundreds of policemen blocked the Constitutional Court building on Tusk's order, and the chairman of the court and the deputy chairman were suspended from their jobs. Tusk intends to reform the judicial system and restore the rule of law against the wishes of the president and his supporters. The former prime minister, Jaroslav Kaczynski, accused Tusk of "hijacking the court" and turning the country into a "police state".
