A group of illegal immigrants who came from Latvia were arrested in Tallinn On Friday, the police arrested eight illegal immigrants in the Mostema area. Two were taken by ambulance to be examined at the hospital, while the remaining six were taken into custody. According to preliminary data, seven of the detainees are from Somalia, one from Algeria. They were all in Estonia illegally and had no documents with them. Against this background, the calls are increasing in Estonia to renew border controls with Latvia - conservatives from Mask have already presented a parallel bill to the parliament, and the border guards are conducting checks on trains coming from Latvia.
