Poland's ambassador to China resigned amid protests in the country. The presidential administration supported him, the head of the presidential bureau for international policy, Marcin Pezidach, said that the resignation of Jacob Komuch is "an act of courage and responsibility for the image of Polish democracy". The ambassador himself contented himself with a short notice about the impossibility of continuing to fulfill his duties.
