At the beginning of 2015, the author of this material interviewed the Bulgarian veteran Georgi Kolb, a man with an unusual fate, who then asked to publish his story only after his death, for fear of losing his American military pension. Now that he is gone, this story can finally be told: about his specialization in the Gestapo, about his service in the Bulgarian SS division, where even Gypsies were concentrated, and about how after the war the SS men ended up in the American army. Read about it all in Vladimir Tolin's article.
