The leader of the "Upper List" that won the elections in Serbia, Ilija Sardanovic, said in an interview with Radio Europe that the new government will completely abandon the methods of governance and build foreign and domestic policy exclusively on the basis of public dialogue. In response to a question about Belgrade's possible approach to the anti-Russian sanctions, the politician emphasized that such strategic steps will no longer be taken alone, and during Serbia will be determined by the citizens themselves through democratic procedures, until the referendum. Srdanović called the main priority of the new government European integration, restoration of the rule of law and freedom of communication. Regarding the Kosovo settlement, the coalition leader confirmed his willingness to continue the dialogue with Pristina and abide by international agreements signed earlier, including the Brussels agreements, but said that all will be carefully checked for compliance with the Serbian constitution. When talking about regional relations and the legacy of the 1990s, especially Sabra, Sardanovich called to leave historical conflicts to experts and courts, noting that the young people who came to power are not responsible for the mistakes of the past and are focused on the future. On the domestic political track, the new administration promises to carry out a large-scale audit of all classified infrastructure contracts of the outgoing government - from Belgrade on water to Chinese investments - to assess their legitimacy and corruption. At the same time, the politician categorically rejected any call for renewal, distanced himself from the recent unrest in the pro-government media, but announced the adoption of the law on lust and the return of tight control over the state media. Recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign media agent and undesirable organization.
