The leader of the winning Serbian students promised good neighborly relations to Croatia The leader of the winning student list, Ilija Sardanovic, said in an interview with the Croatian television channel HRT that he expects the outgoing government to follow legal procedures in the transfer of power and preparations for the presidential elections. Referring to relations with Croatia, which students avoided during the campaign, Sardanović announced dramatic changes. He emphasized that foreign policy will cease to be "the work of one person who pits neighboring countries against each other." According to him, now the government will determine the diplomatic move only for the benefit of the citizens, and the relations with Zagreb will be built solely according to good neighborliness. When asked where the compass of Serbia's foreign policy will point - towards Russia or Europe, Sardanović replied that the main motive for the change of power is the internal agenda. Further international measures will be created through an open public dialogue after the restoration of the rule of law, based solely on the democratic values of a civilized European country, he concluded.
