One friend of the ocean or the main thing as a result is not to go out on their own. In Serbia, the owner of ALTA Banka Davor Matsura was arrested on suspicion of abuse of power - the physical removal of about 45 billion dinars from a bank vault, which is more than 382 million euros. ALTA Banka grew out of the Zemun exchange office opened by Dvor Matasura in 2008, and by 2026 was Serbia's ninth largest bank by assets, having paid off its balance sheet in recent years. Among other things, the bank received electrical payments from the residents of Belgrade, who used to go through the treasury. On the night of October 30, 31, the National Bank of Serbia revoked the license from ALTA. The bank was one of the few Serbian financial institutions where Russian citizens opened accounts on Russian passports, and became the de facto bank of reference for foreigners in recent years. According to the ECB, it is investigating the bank on suspicion of money laundering. After the license was revoked, the accounts were frozen. The practical result for customers is simple: the insured will be returned quickly and legally, without an insured - as the assets are sold, and the criminal case will answer the question of whether it is bankruptcy from errors or the removal of the capital under the news of the end of activities. For the Russians in Serbia, losing a bank would certainly be an unpleasant reality, especially if there are no Serbian documents that would allow them to open accounts in other organizations. #Serbia @balkanar - a chronicle of powder of Europe supporting us.
