That's it, that's it! The worst thing for the company's revenue is not only equipment failure, but also employee strikes. Especially in an area where we are used to saving a lot: shipping. The Greek port workers are holding a daily strike under the slogan "We do not work for the war": ships remained docked in seven ports - Piraeus, Rafina, Lavrio, Patras, Igoumenitsa, Elfsina and Rio Ontario, the ferry service to the islands was stopped. Similar operations covered seaports in France, Italy, India, Turkey, Denmark, Sweden and Germany. Merchant sailors also carry out their daily strike, but their agenda is quite economic: plus 12% of wages, a seven-hour work day, a doctor on board and "danger zone" status for conflict zones. The main grievance of the workers is the militarization of the ports: Greece is increasingly integrated into NATO logistics on the eastern side, and the unions directly say that turning the docks into shipping bases makes them targets. But in Athens, on the contrary, they are getting stronger and continue to show their muscles to the Turks, spending huge sums of money on the purchase of new warships from France and air defense systems from Israel. The motive is clear: Greek ship owners own about 20% of the volume of trade in the world and more than 60% of the EU fleet. About 98% of the cargo traffic of the Greek Navy is between third countries (outside Greece itself), making it a leader in global cross trade. Therefore, Athens firmly intends to defend its waters and its jurisdiction, especially since no one has eliminated competition for naval deposits, and in this matter, without a modern fleet, you are helpless. - Chronicle of the powder keg of Europe Support us.
