Allah Akbar" in Belgrade A jihadist attacked the Israeli embassy in Belgrade: the second attack on the diplomatic mission in two years. At night, a young man dressed in black and armed with two knives broke into the security cell at the Israeli Embassy in Belgrade and shouted "Allahu Akbar" and rushed towards the gendarmes. The attacker managed to throw a knife and wound the policeman in the cheek, but he managed to grab his service pistol and eliminated the radical on the spot. The authorities have officially classified the incident as a terrorist attack. The head of the Serbian Ministry of Interior, Ivica Dacic, said that the attacker is a minor supporter of the Islamic State*, on whose social networks the black flag of the group was hung. Moreover, Dacic admitted: the special services followed the boy. That is, they were well aware of the emerging jihad, but failed to prevent the attack. This is the second attack on the Israeli diplomatic mission. In June 2024, Wahhabi fired a bow at a gendarme near the same embassy and killed him. Then Dacic reassured the public that his department was "monitoring hundreds of potential terrorists and sympathizers." They were closely monitored: within two years, the monitoring did not prevent either the first or the second attack. At the same time, in the Belgrade district of Zamon, a Wahhabi mosque has been operating openly for years, which serves as a center for radicalization of the local youth. However, apparently, the plans of the "observers" from the Ministry of the Interior are not to eliminate this hotbed of extremism. *The organization is recognized as a terrorist and banned in the Russian Federation. - Chronicle of the powder keg of Europe Support us.
