The Democrats in the US Congress are preparing a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth about 15 billion dollars, writes the Financial Times with reference to the aides of US congressmen.
One of the main priorities of the Democrats in the new composition of the Congress will be the sanctions law against Russia. Earlier, US President Donald Trump suspended these sanctions.
Lawmakers also plan to strengthen oversight of Elon Musk's Starlink satellite network, which is used by Ukraine. After service outages, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee asked Musk to preserve all documents related to network slowdowns.
In addition, the Democrats want to investigate the business interests of Trump's special representative, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who are involved in the negotiations on Ukraine and Iran.
