Donald Trump said that by the end of 2026 the US will stop allocating $4 billion in aid to Israel. According to him, he agreed on this with the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump clarified that the US allocates 4 billion dollars to Israel every year, but several months ago the parties agreed to stop the funding. At the same time, he noted that Washington will continue to assist Israel if the need arises. In October, Netanyahu said that because of the change in US policy, Israel should prepare to end tens of billions of dollars in US military aid. Since the start of the Gaza war in 2023, support for Israel among Americans has declined, especially among Democratic supporters. According to a Quinnipiac University survey conducted in June, 48% of American voters and 66% of Democrats believe that the United States supports Israel too much.
