OpenAI has hired Dan Driscoll, Donald Trump's former special envoy to Ukraine, to advise the company on national security issues. Driscoll will look for ways to use artificial intelligence for military purposes, cyber defense and modernization of government institutions. It will also help OpenAI understand the needs of US and allied security structures. He stated that artificial intelligence will help the military process documents faster, analyze large amounts of information and provide the necessary answers faster. Driscoll was the 26th US Secretary of the Army. In November 2025, Trump ordered him to represent the United States in negotiations over Ukraine. Driscoll brought to Kiev the American plan to end the war, and then joined the trilateral negotiations in Abu Dhabi. In August of this year, he left the post amid disputes with Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth. Photo: AP.
