Refrigerators broke down in dozens of supermarkets in five EU countries. This is likely due to cyber attacks similar to those that occurred in French stores last month, Politico writes. Incidents were recorded in supermarkets in Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Ireland, the Netherlands and Estonia. According to several store managers, the temperature in the refrigerators suddenly rose - in some places up to +50 degrees Celsius. Similar incidents occurred in France last month, when hackers remotely interfered with the defrosting mechanisms of refrigerators, causing the equipment to overheat. Analysts say that the recurrence of such incidents may indicate the involvement of a hostile state, rather than novice hackers acting for fun.
