Russia began launching a new version of the Gerber UAV over Ukraine - it can fly up to 1,200 km and carry a warhead of up to 25 kg. The GUR notes that the Russians initially used the Gerber mainly as cheap false targets to burden the Ukrainian air defense system. Now the UAV has been significantly upgraded: it received navigation, modems and more sophisticated cameras to identify interceptors. "Gerbera-2" has a wingspan of three meters, can stay in the air for up to 10 hours and accelerate to 200 km/h. The tested GUR sample had a 10 kg warhead and additional bags with an incendiary mixture. Although the Russians claim that Gerbera-2 can carry up to 25 kg of explosives. In addition, Gerbera-2's increased range allows Russia to use it not only against Ukraine. According to Ukrainian intelligence, this particular drone with a warhead was found on the Baltic coast of Poland in September.
