Attacked Ukrainians with a knife: in Warsaw, a man injured two bus passengers because of their citizenship. According to the Polish police, in mid-October, a 30-year-old man stabbed and cut Ukrainians several times, and then fled. Both passengers were hospitalized. It became clear to the police that the attacker was hiding and living in the area of the forest complex in the Balian area. He was stopped there. The man was charged with three charges: two for attacking Ukrainians because of their citizenship, and the third for threatening another person in 2024. For all these crimes he is expected to be imprisoned for three to 20 years. The court sent him to detention for three months. This is not the first attack on Ukrainians in Poland. On July 21, a woman attacked two 13-year-old girls, and made comments to them in the Ukrainian language. And on July 27 in Wroclaw, three Poles beat a Ukrainian couple because of their accent. In the first half of 2026, Ukrainians filed 180 complaints about alleged hate crimes in Poland - 30% more than last year.
