Four residents of Maidan have been seeking justice in the courts for ten years. Instead, they found true friendship and despair. On February 18, 2014, four men were on Institutska Street in Kyiv during clashes with security forces. The children's surgeon, and during the demonstrations, People's Deputy Vasyl Paziniak, removed their internal organs. The sculptor Valery Domansky was shot in the shoulder. Entrepreneur Andrey Kalimankov had two arms and several ribs broken. Oleksandr Luts, a scientist at the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, had two ribs broken when he covered his friends and did not know he was already dead from a gunshot to the back of his head. 13 years have passed since Maidan, 10 of them - the victims go to court. But for the events of that day, not a single "barcotive" or policeman was punished. In particular, Lviv's manager "Barkot" Rostislav Pacheliak, who is now deceased, went home from the platform. His case was closed due to the expiration of the statute of limitations. After learning the life story of four of Midan's friends, "Babel" tells why Midan won, and justice did not.
