Russian refineries are increasing diesel production after the agreement with the US, Reuters writes with reference to sources. In the first half of October, diesel production in Russia fell to about 160,000 tons per day - compared to 175,000 tons in September. However, after the companies received new export quotas in the middle of the month, the index began to grow and approached 180 thousand tons per day. Sources of the agency indicate that usually the domestic consumption of diesel fuel in the Russian Federation drops to about 140,000 tons per day in October. So, at least 40 thousand tons can be left for export every day, or more than one million tons per month. On October 9, Donald Trump announced that he had agreed with Putin on the supply of diesel fuel from the Russian Federation, which was supposed to lower fuel prices in the world. To do this, Washington temporarily relaxed sanctions against Russian oil. According to the agreement, Russia will initially supply 300,000 tons of fuel, in November - another 500,000 tons, and later - another million tons.
