A day before the beginning of the regime of silence in Olshki in the Kherson region, the Russians accused Ukraine of shelling the settlement and the roads leading to it. The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that, apparently, in the last week alone, since October 19, Ukraine has fired 18 artillery strikes and more than 120 drone strikes on Olsheki and the access roads to it. The Russian side's statement also states that the Ukrainian army is allegedly using UAVs to block the roads to the city in order to prevent evacuation and to block the supply of medicine and food. Ukraine and the Russian Federation on October 23, with the help of the first lady of the USA, Melania Trump, agreed on a ceasefire in order to conduct a humanitarian operation in Olshki. On the same day, the General Staffs of the Armed Forces of Russia and Ukraine announced that the regime of silence would begin at 03:00 on October 27. As of the end of September, there were about two thousand people in Olshki, including 50 children. They were left without water, food and medicine, because the Russians did not allow humanitarian cargo to enter the city. Babel told more about what is happening in Olshki, a woman who, together with her 84-year-old mother, fled the city at the beginning of its blockade.
