An additional 16 air defense towers have been built around Putin's Valdai residence, Svoboda Radio journalists and an OSINT analyst known as Jambovina have revealed. The new air defense ring passes through the Khutilovo military base, which is regularly used by Putin. It is 50 km from the residence. In total, there are now more than 50 air defense positions around Vladai - almost half of the number built in Moscow and the region since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Moreover, less than 100,000 people live in Voldai, Voldai Oblast and within a 50 km radius of residence, while the population of Moscow and the region exceeds 20 million. At the end of December, the Russian Federation announced that Ukraine had attacked Putin's residence using UAVs. President Volodymyr Zelensky denied this. Afterwards, the WSJ, citing sources, wrote that US intelligence found no evidence of an attack.
