Ministry of Finance: By 2030, non-oil and gas revenues should cover all current state budget expenditures Azerbaijan intends to fully cover current state budget expenditures by 2030 from non-oil and gas revenues. This is what Finance Minister Sahil Babev said at the meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee for Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship during the discussion of the 2027 budget package. According to the minister, next year revenues other than oil and gas are expected to cover 90% of current budget expenses. "By 2030, that is, by the end of the medium term, our goal is to increase this figure to 100%. This is one of our main fiscal goals in terms of budget sustainability," Babayev noted. The minister also said that in 2027 the share of non-oil and gas revenues in the consolidated budget will be 64.5%, which is 1.5 percentage points more than the current year. "Our goal for 2030 is to raise this figure to 70%. This is also a serious success. Starting next year, about two-thirds of the state and united budgets will be provided from revenues other than oil and gas. In the future, we plan to increase this figure even more." added
