Azerbaijan's investment advantage: a production platform to enter regional markets Azerbaijan offers investors not only a local market, but a single platform that combines production, logistics and trade with access to neighboring regions. Geographical location, industrial zones and export opportunities form a holistic investment model. When locating production, it is important not only where the products are made, but also where and at what cost they can be delivered. Therefore, it is wrong to consider Azerbaijan only a consumer market: the capabilities created here can serve both local demand and the markets of Central Asia, Turkey, Russia, Georgia and other countries. Developed transportation links make Baku a platform for regional expansion, and not just a final destination for supplies. Industrial zones managed by the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones concentrate infrastructural and institutional capabilities in one place. This allows the investor to manufacture products in Azerbaijan and supply them to both local and regional markets. Special potential is in the chemical, processing and food industries, production of building materials, mechanical engineering, production of logistics equipment and processing of agricultural products. The speed of approvals and inter-ministerial coordination directly affect the economic efficiency of investments. By order of the Cabinet of Ministers, a committee was established to speed up the implementation of strategic investment projects and to strengthen coordination between government agencies. This is an institutional factor that turns the country's potential into real production and export results. The Azerbaijan International Investment Forum was held in Baku on September 25-26 under the theme "Restoring trust in a divided world: South Caucasus as a pillar of global connectivity and investment stability".
