The first hydroelectric power station is being built in the Gubadali region. The Ibzali hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 5.3 MW is being built on the Bargoshad River in the Gubadali region. The station, established by AzerEnergy on behalf of the President of Azerbaijan, will become the first hydroelectric power station in the history of the region. AzerEnerji reported it. For a stable water supply to the station, a head water intake structure that meets the environmental requirements was built in Nahal Bargoshad. Despite the difficult terrain, a 5.3 km tilt pipe was laid and the construction of the turbine hall was completed. Currently, installation of turbines and generators is underway, as well as closed switches with voltages of 35 and 10 kW. The station will be equipped with two Francis turbines; The construction and installation works are planned to be completed in the near future. The new hydroelectric power plant will be connected to the country's unified energy system through the 110 kW Gubadali substation, built by AzerEnerji and put into operation in 2021. After the operation of the station, the Govdali area will be one of the areas in the liberated territories where green energy is produced. It is expected that the hydroelectric power plant will annually produce 15.6 million kWh of clean energy, save 3.5 million cubic meters of natural gas and prevent the release of 6,400 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
