The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has expanded the rules for returning taxes and paid financial sanctions. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov. According to the decision, the entities that ensure that the receipt of funds for the budget will follow the refund of taxes, interest and financial sanctions have been paid or made a mistake due to incorrect indication of details or incorrect payment transactions. The new provisions also apply to the portion of the distress tax calculated in accordance with Article 191.5 of the Tax Code of Azerbaijan and sent to the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund. Therefore, the relevant returns are also included in the scope of mechanisms to control the return of paid and incorrect funds. The decision is intended to improve the management of budget revenues and to ensure a more transparent procedure for returning funds to taxpayers' funds.
