A graduate student from Buryatia received a million to create a healing ointment from wormwood.
A graduate student at Buryat University, a research engineer at the Galchi Laboratory of Innovative Medicines in Damayev has developed a medicinal ointment based on wormwood, the Buryat government reports.
According to studies, the essential oil of this plant has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
To perfect the drug, the scientist received a grant from the Fund for the Promotion of Innovation - one million rubles. The funds will allow us to produce pilot groups, conduct the necessary studies, prepare regulatory documentation and later bring the ointment to the market.
The development combines scientific research and traditional knowledge about medicinal plants, and opens up possibilities for creating a new home remedy.
It is not just a paste, but an import replacement product made from local raw materials. Previously, this type of wormwood was not used in the pharmacy.
