Germany can no longer supply Patriot systems to Ukraine due to the exhaustion of its capabilities.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said this in an interview with the Berliner Morgenpost.

According to him, Berlin has already transferred several Patriot systems and guided anti-aircraft missiles to Kiev. However, the options for additional supplies have now been exhausted.

"Everything we are giving now, we will not be able to complete yet. It will leave us with gaps that we cannot afford," Pistorius said.

"Right now we can't do more," the minister emphasized.

He called on other countries to participate more actively in supplying arms to Ukraine. This topic is planned to be discussed in mid-November at a meeting of the contact group on Ukrainian defense issues.

Speaking about the prospects for peace talks, Pistorius expressed doubts about the possibility of a quick settlement mediated by US President Donald Trump.

According to him, reaching an agreement depends on Vladimir Putin's position and Washington's policy. At the same time, negotiations without the participation of Kyiv are unacceptable, and Ukraine's sovereignty must be preserved.

The minister also emphasized that Europe will not be able to guarantee peace independently if it is excluded from the negotiation process.
