"The program began with a message allegedly from a government agency. After entering the code from SMS, the man received a message that his personal account had been hacked. A call was then received from an "employee" of the fraud prevention department. The victim was persuaded to participate in a secret asset recovery operation.
The man followed the instructions for several months. He sold the shares, withdrew money from the accounts and gave the messenger gold coins worth 12 million rubles. The transfer of the values took place by means of a code word. The prosecutor's office is now following the search for those involved in the theft. The amount of damage was one of the largest in recent times."
