In the Netherlands, a cemetery for Soviet soldiers was vandalized for the second time in a year.
In the Soviet memorial complex of the Field of Fame in the city of Lesdan, unknown persons again damaged the monuments. The obelisk and memorial wall were painted over and offensive inscriptions were left.
The police are investigating the incident. 865 citizens of the former Soviet Union who died during World War II are buried in the monument.
