As a child, we read in science fiction novels about how astronauts on distant space stations get water from urine, we could not even imagine that all this would happen in our lifetime. Our favorite cosmonaut, a resident of Novosibirsk, Anna Kikina, showed the process of renewing the water supply on the ISS. The video was published by the Yury Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center. In the broadcast, Anna Kikina says that such work is called "water displacement". The liquid was poured from the Rudnik system of the cargo ship Progress - from tanks with a volume of about 200 liters into small tanks of 20 liters. "We get water in different ways - it's condensation from air and moisture, we get it from urine. But most often in reserves it is the one that was brought from Earth," explains our compatriot from zero gravity.
