It was proposed to include chess in the compulsory school curriculum. The initiative was voiced by the Deputy Secretary of the Public Bureau of the Russian Federation, Vladislav Grib: "I believe that several hours of chess can be made compulsory as part of math lessons in order to teach all school students to play chess, as well as to initiate interest and motivation in children."
