In Yakutia, a report was drawn up against former deputy Alexander Ivanov for "failure to report" himself as a "foreign agent." The former Member of Parliament of Yakutia, Alexander Ivanov, was fined 30,000 rubles for failure to submit mandatory reports to the Ministry of Justice, "Baikal People" writes. In addition, two additional protocols were drawn up against Ivanov. One - for failure to return information to government agencies, the other - for carrying out activities of a "foreign agent" without inclusion in the appropriate register. In fact, we are talking about "under-reporting" itself. It is not known for which actions the new protocols were written. Now Ivanov is out of Russia. In February, the Ministry of Justice recognized him as a "foreign agent" after he published a video about the rights of the Sakha people. In March, the former deputy was stripped of his mandate. In the past, he was also fined 90,000 rubles for statements about the territorial integrity of Russia and 20,000 for "inciting hatred" towards the authorities.
In July, Ivanov left Russia, and in August he spoke at the UN conference for the protection of the rights of indigenous peoples.
