The Ukrainian monitoring channel Aksilnova+ claims that the Avisma factory in Brezniki was attacked. The plant is part of the structure of PJSC VSMPO-Abisema Corporation and is the world's largest producer of titanium sponge. The company's products are used, among others, for military aviation, the production of helicopters, nuclear submarines, armored vehicles and missile systems. Moreover, Brezniki is not in the north, but in the central part of the Perm region, about 170 km north of Perm. In September 2023, the United States added VSMPO-Avisama to the sanctions list. The publication of the project states that titanium from VSMPO-Avisma was also purchased by Russian rocket manufacturers.
