On Friday, the League of Arab States condemned the attempt by the Houthis to target the Medina region of Saudi Arabia with a ballistic missile, stressing that "this attack represents a dangerous escalation and an unacceptable violation of the kingdom's sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, in addition to the significance of harming the Muslim state in the world." The Arab League emphasized in a statement that "repetition of such attacks not only threatens the security of Saudi Arabia, but will also increase tensions, threaten the security and stability of the region, and undermine efforts aimed at containing the escalation." The League of Arab States renewed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for the legitimate steps it takes to protect its security, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to deal with all threats aimed at the kingdom's security and the security of its citizens.
