Yemen's ambassador to Washington, Jamila Raja, called on Sunday for the need to confront Iranian support for the Houthis in Yemen, stressing that what she described as the "growing military capabilities of the Houthis" is the result of years of Iranian support. The ambassador said, in a post on the "X" platform, that Iran's support for the Houthis has caused "catastrophic" consequences for Yemen, and is now a major threat to security in the region. The Yemeni ambassador emphasized the need to confront Iranian support in order to face the threat posed by the Houthis, provided that this is done at the same time as supporting the capabilities of the state of Yemen.
