The Ukrainian Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubintz, and the representative of the Russian Ministry of Human Rights, Igor Kashin, met at Gomel Airport in Belarus to discuss ways to provide humanitarian aid and organize the evacuation of the citizens stuck in the town of Olshki, located on the front line in Kherson Oblast. The move came as a result of a six-day ceasefire agreement sponsored by Washington to provide safe passage for civilians and bring needed supplies and medical supplies to the affected areas, which over the years have witnessed continuous bombing and drone targeting.
